How to get a factual error fixed, what we will change, and what we will not.
Tell us and we will fix it
Every fact in the directory carries the page it came from and the date it was checked. If one is wrong, write to corrections@buysidefintech.com with the company, the field, and what it should say. You do not need to claim your listing first, and you do not need to be the company — a reader who spots an error is as welcome as the company it is about.
What we do
- We check it against a source we can cite. Where we can, that is your own site.
- We correct the record and re-date it, so the page shows when it was last verified.
- Where the error was ours and it mattered, we say so on the page rather than quietly changing it.
What we will not do
We do not remove a listing because a company dislikes it. A factual error gets corrected with a source. An opinion you disagree with gets a reply, published beside it. Those are different things and we treat them differently.
We do not remove a published review at a vendor’s request. If a review breaks the review policy, say which rule and we will look at it under the moderation rules.
The record is not rewritten
The site keeps an append-only record of what was changed and by whom, which cannot be edited afterwards by anybody, including us. A correction adds to that record; it never erases it.
